Riva del Garda, 11 January 2023

There are producers. There are buyers. There are international trade associations. There are industry experts. All the ingredients are there to make Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags an event of international standing dedicated not only to establishing profitable commercial relations between footwear and leather goods buyers and the producers who offer the most interesting novelties for next autumn/winter 2023/24 or the re-assortments for the summer season.

The event, which will be held from 14 to 17 January 2023 in Riva del Garda, is also proposed as an unmissable appointment for all those who want to explore crucial issues in order to better understand and better face the sector’s challenges of the present and the future.
The themes selected by the organizers and the Scientific Committee of the fair were very targeted, identifying the market situation , sustainability and innovation dedicated to the world of retail as the crucial turning points on which to focus attention.

MARKETS
Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags has always been characterized by a very strong international personality. Both the product offer and the origin of the buyers involve sector operators from all over the world.
It is therefore natural that in this context some important markets as well as some lesser-known squares are studied in depth.
The Market Focusesof January 2023 will focus on the DACH area , the main German-speaking European countries, on Latin America (Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay), India , South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) and the USA .

SUSTAINABILITY
One of the missions that Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags has given itself is to act as an aggregator and facilitator of a path that allows the international footwear and leather goods sector to become ever more attentive and proactive towards sustainability issues. The Scientific Committee of the fair has identified the theme of traceabilitythe fundamental junction on which every topic of sustainability should hinge.
Two scheduled appointments:

– Transparency in the fashion and footwear supply chain: what’s next?
The issues of sustainability in fashion and footwear are increasingly at the center of the attention of governments, businesses and consumers and increasingly merge into a logic of transparency between producer and consumer on the raw materials and processes used. This necessarily imposes a supply chain logic. But what does the near future hold for us? What are the strategies that companies are planning for the next few years? Through the opinion of experts and companies in the sector, the workshop will be an opportunity to take stock of what has been done to date and what the challenges are for the next three years.

– The future is now: the challenge of the new European regulations on sustainability and traceability
For some time there has been talk of sustainability with verbs in the future. Today, the new regulations of some important European countries (Germany in particular) require us to talk about it in the present tense. What changes for fashion and footwear companies with the application of the new regulations? What are the requirements for companies that want to continue to be present in these markets? Through the description of how the competitive rules are changing in some large European markets, the workshop will take stock of the costs and tools available to companies to adapt to the new requirements.

INNOVATION for RETAIL
The third edition of the Innovation Village Retail8 new startups will participate in the rivano event offering solutions and services destined to renew or even revolutionize the world of retail. A unique opportunity for buyers to invest not only in new collections, but also to explore new ideas for their business.
