Thank you for your support for the 8th annual Skechers Pier to Pier Walk, which raised $1.6m for special needs children
We had a RECORD-BREAKING event on Sunday! The 8th annual SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk successfully raised $1.6 million! We are thrilled to be able to help even more families with special needs children and improve the public education system.
Over 12,000 people joined together in support of the walk including celebrities Brooke Burke-Charvet, Sugar Ray Leonard, Camila Alves, Ian Ziering, Denise Austin, and Tommy Lasorda. We had more performances than ever before, with Jordyn Jones, New District, Aidan Prince, and Asia Monet Ray entertaining the crowd at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Our media sponsor NBC4 covered the event and we were thrilled to have NBC4 anchors Crystal Egger and Hetty Chang lead the crowd in the morning stretch! You can see our coverage here: http://bit.ly/2dTws5a
It was an AMAZING event and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community, the help from our volunteers, the generosity of our sponsors, and dedication from our walkers and donors. Thank you so much for believing in SKECHERS signature walk and for building it into the movement that it is today! And a huge thank you to everyone from SKECHERS that came out to support our event – we couldn’t do it without you!
For those of you that were unable to attend, we encourage you to join us next year on October 28th to experience the excitement and joy of our company’s annual flagship charity event!
