The British, fast selling ladies footwear brand LUNAR, will be launching its highly anticipated Autumn/Winter 2016 collection at the NEC Moda Footwear show on 21st -23rd February 2016, but in a brand new location.
Following changes to the Moda show layout, the award winning finalists position has been relocated, along with many of the other highly recognised footwear names to stand E20, in Hall 17. Moda organisers hail revisions as a “new-look Moda Footwear, re-launched in its own dedicated space”.
The new Autumn Winter 2016 LUNAR collection, which follows the mass sell out Spring Summer range (retailers reported some lines lasting less than a few days), will further stamp LUNAR’s position within the footwear market, introducing a large range of short and long boots, shoes and slippers, all which continue along the brands individual classic and elegant theme.
With the slogan “Love Shoes, Love Lunar’ and a host of new supporting Point of Sale to be released this season, the brand has always been popular with consumers and retailers. However this ‘love’ took a new level more recently as LUNAR’s 1000+ stockists came forward to vote and hail the brands achievements for the upcoming Footwear Industry Awards – which will be held on the Sunday evening of Moda Footwear in February.
The event, which is held yearly at the Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, is said to champion footwear brands in the fairest way possible, with retailers voting online to choose their winner in each of 23 awards. On 23rd December 2015, the awards site reported that Lunar was a top finalist in both Ladies (footwear) Brand of the Year and Fashion (footwear) brand of the Year in the 2016 awards.
Louise Crush from Just Shoes and Pink Flamingo in Kent commented about Lunar’s success in the awards by saying, “My confidence in this brand continues to grow. The product quality is excellent, and with ranges updated every season, the brand offers freshness and newness”,”I can see the dedication which goes into giving customers all of the above and am pleased via the awards that they are receiving the attention they deserve….”
Shelia Barry from Donaghys (Bambridge, Lurgan, Lisburn in Northern Ireland) agreed by saying, ”We as a Retailer are delighted to hear that Lunar have made the final. It’s great to see that all their hard work has paid off. Lunar has gone from strength to strength as a brand for us in recent years. They continue to improve as a brand Season after Season”, and, “I feel this is a true testament to the continued hard work of all involved with the GRS Brand”. Shelia finished by saying, “SS15 saw a record season for us with Lunar Sandals. They were excellent!”.
Emma Harrop from Velvet, Hove, West Sussex spoke of her ‘love’ of the brand by saying, “We have been stocking Lunar for a few years now and our customers keep coming back for more, because the fit is so good, they love the fact that the shoes are comfy and fashionable – it’s a winning combination!“.
Kay Humphries of Loafers, who recently opened her shop in Whitby, North Yorkshire said that, “The Lunar brand has been influential in making our first year of trading a success. Lunar shoes mix fantastic style and comfort with good margins and great quality. The support from the team at GRS is second to none”.
