Lancashire shoe company LANX has today announced its made in Lancashire mission. A mission to breathe fresh life in to shoe manufacturing in the county and create new jobs.

What once was a thriving shoe making hub of the North, today Lancashire has lost much of its production to overseas manufacturers. Losing jobs and a rich history in the process. However, Whalley based independent footwear company, LANX, has invested heavily over the past 18 months to change this.

On the back of the launch of their new autumn winter men’s and women’s shoe range, the business continues to pursue its ‘sole purpose’ of breathing fresh life in to the Lancashire footwear industry.  Lanx has increased production with its partner footwear factory in Rossendale, creating employment and restoring pride in the area once more.

“Since our launch we have invested heavily in shoe manufacturing, our mission is to increase Lancashire production further and create new jobs” commented LANX Founder, Marco Vaghetti.

“The support we are receiving from people in Lancashire and around the north-west has been very pleasing and given us the confidence to invest further in LANX’s infrastructure, jobs and manufacturing.”

Since launching in 2018, LANX has enjoyed great success locally, nationally and internationally with online orders coming from around the world. The unique blend of innovative ‘business-casual’ designs, quality materials and small limited release quantities of shoes has attracted a loyal following and great feedback from customers.

The company currently employs 4 full time members of staff as well as several part time staff to assist with their ever growing markets and events schedule. As part of their Lancashire investment strategy, LANX will be moving to a new warehouse, office and retail premises later this year, still based in Whalley.
