Editor’s Comment: The Summer season is hotting up!
Welcome to the jam-packed August edition of Footwear Today! We’ve got an exclusive interview with the BFA’s new CEO, Richard Shetliffe, and there’s also news about the official UK launch of Orthofeet – an American brand that’s been offering hands-free slip-on comfort shoes for more than 40 years.
As well as that we take a closer look at the Bioeco brand, which only came to the UK in 2023 but its heritage stretches back to 1927. We hear from one of the brand’s leading stockists in Ireland about what makes Bioeco shoes stand out on the shelf!
In fact, Bioeco and over 150 other footwear brands will be exhibiting at the upcoming Footwear Today Live show that is taking place on 12-13 August, returning to the NCC in Birmingham! It’s an extremely popular venue that has so much to offer – both to visitors and exhibitors – and the show has grown hugely into the go-to event in the industry calendar.
One of the main things I would suggest is to plan your visit; look up the brands that are in attendance and organise meetings at the show. It’ll be the most constructive way to spend your time there so you can maximise the opportunity to see all your favourite brands!
We are so excited to be back in just a couple of weeks’ time, and I hope to see you all there.
