Stepanie Sweetmore – A childhood passion for footwear lead me to a Degree in Footwear Design. I graduated from De Montfort University in 2015 with a BA. Whilst undertaking the course I was introduced to bespoke footwear and I was compelled to study this area of design further. In 2016 I graduated with an MA in Bespoke Footwear Biomechanics. I currently work as Bespoke Orthopaedic Shoemaker in the High Peak and I lecture on a part time basis at De Montfort University, teaching 3D Footwear Design and Foot Scanning to both post graduate and undergraduate students. My focus is the lack of choice and minimal stylish footwear available to people with non-standard requirements.
Charles Denton – Charles Denton is the Managing Director of DB Shoes Ltd, a Northamptonshire based footwear manufacturer specialising in wide to extremely wide fitting footwear. He is a founder member of the Healthy footwear Guide and has been on the Council of the Society of Shoe Fitters.

I won the S.S.F. Student of The Year back in Feb 2017 and have gained a lot more knowledge and skill regarding the fit of shoes that I put into practise everyday whether it be children’s shoes, fitting of orthotics or fitting after injury. I am working for North Shoes, a successful multiple independent shop that incorporates fashion with fit and are recommended by major hospitals in Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties.
