“Istill can’t believe that I won two awards at this years FIA, I’m honoured that I’ve been recognised for simply doing my job. I’m passionate about making sure every little pair of feet that walk through the door leave happy an in the correct footwear. I can’t express how rewarding it is to see your regular customers return, make new friendships with parents and to see the children slowly grow up. “Without the knowledge that I gained from completing my course with the Society of Shoe Fitters, I can honestly say I would not enjoy my job as much as I do. The qualification has not only taught me the necessary skills but has also given me confidence. It has proven to be invaluable, as my age was often against me at the beginning when serving older customers but it didn’t take long for my knowledge to shine through thanks to my training. I still can’t believe I am the proud winner of Student of the Year within my short career of 1 1/2 years as a shoe fitter. I’d like to thank Maureen & Laura for her continued support for both me and the rest of the girls at Belle Enfants.”
