James Southall Ltd, the parent company of Start-rite Shoes Ltd, announces changes to its Board, in response to closing a search for investment.
After having thoroughly explored potential opportunities, shareholders were unable to identify a commercial partner they felt was right for the business. Therefore the preferred strategy to move the business forward is to invest in a new Chairman and Chief Executive to implement and deliver a long-term business plan.
The incumbent, Peter Lamble will continue to act as Chairman and Chief Executive until the new appointments are made. He will then remain in a key non-executive role on the James Southall Board.
The company will continue to run as an independent family business and look forward to continued success.
