As I am sure many of you know the past 4 months have been some of the hardest me and my family have ever hadto endure. Unfortunately on the 5th October Henry my 3 year old contacted Ecoli and disease called HUS which attacks our Kidneys, Stomach and Brain. Henry was admitted to Bristol Children’s Hospital on the 11th October and was in a coma for 6 weeks. Nearly 4 months later there has been little improvement and we await a move to a Neuro rehab centre where Henry can start some kind of rehabilitation to prepare him and us for his return home in 6-12 months. I have decided to raise some money for 2 charities, The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal and The Ronald McDonald House Bristol, without these charities I don’t know how we could have got through this terrible ordeal.
My first event is on the 15th March 10K Rock Solid www.rocksolidrace.com/escot-park. As you all know I am not the fittest but have started training with a personal trainer twice a week to make sure I take this event and all the events I am planning are taken as seriously as possible.
